What's up guys? I've been trying to squeeze in as much life as I can before this semester starts (6 classes! Ah!) and have been dancing like mad, reading like crazy, cooking and baking like bonkers, and spending time with friends like a lunatic (big shout out to thesaurus.com).
On the vanity front I've been sucked it to the world of pin up. I've always loved pin up looks, and have tried to squeeze a little inspiration into my personal style but I felt like going all the way is too "costume-y". Maybe it's been awhile since I donned a bellydance costume (ok, it has. A long while) and I'm going through some weird costume withdrawals or something but feeling "costume-y" isn't such a bad (uncomfortable?) thing anymore. Black hair and Bettie bangs to come soon. Stay tuned.
Volunteering at the Humane Society this summer has been incredible. Not only do I get to play with a bunch of amazing dogs and cats, I've learned how a shelter runs from a veterinary perspective (It's not all fun and games). Although it's similar in some ways to a small animal practice, it's vastly different in so many other ways. I hope to keep volunteering to learn as much as I can, shelter medicine and all it's dynamics are quite compelling.
I've got 3 days of freedom before this semester starts (Did I mention 6 classes? Ah!) and I'm planning on LIVING IT UP which means reading and baking a lemon meringue pie. Let's do this.
